Summary

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for general oversight of various capital engineering projects for quarry & plant operations as well as rail; project management of design and field construction, various aggregate plant improvements, new plant installations, process improvement projects, and other construction management projects in the aggregates arena.
  • responsible for communicating with operations managers, senior division management and corporate managers on project status.
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects in multiple areas throughout the division simultaneously, adhere to and communicate variances to approved budgets, and track completion of projects on a regular basis without losing sight of the direction of the projects within the division.
  • analyzing the effects of various mechanical improvements to an aggregates operation as well as being very knowledgeable in effectively utilizing effective plant automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mining, civil, or mechanical engineering; or equivalent experience required.
  • 5+ years experience managing bulk material handling projects in the mining industry.
  • Experience with material handling systems, including the installation and start-up of conveyors, screens, crushers, pumps and pumping systems, material washing systems & sand screws.
  • Ability to read blueprints and provide oversight for steel fabrication and erection.
  • Experience with AggFlow and AutoCAD software for plant design.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills; excellent report writing skills; proficient computer skills a must.
  • Out of town travel required.
